  •  Major Abdominal ProceduresAbdominal Myomectomy – fibroid removal surgery via horizontal or vertical incision depending on the size of the uterus. Our physicians perform these surgeries weekly and are well-equipped to deal with all sizes and numbers of fibroids.
  • Basic Cancer Procedures i.e. Endometrial Cancer
  • Cystectomy: Removal of Ovarian or Paratubal Cyst
  • Exploratory Laparotomy – an open procedure in which a horizontal or vertical incision is made in the abdomen. If the gynecological pathology is considered large, complex, or solid, it may not be able to be removed laparoscopically. If there is concern for spillage or malignancy (cancer), it is best to perform the procedure under a more direct approach.
  • Oophorectomy – removal of one or both ovaries using an open approach.
  • Ovarian Cystectomy – removal of a cyst on an ovary i.e. simple, hemorrhagic, endometrioma, dermoid.
  • Salpingectomy – removal of one or both fallopian tubes.
  • Subtotal Hysterectomy – also known as supracervical or partial hysterectomy; the removal of the uterus only. The cervix is left behind. If the ovaries and fallopian tubes are removed concurrently, the procedure is entitled Subtotal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy.
  • Supracervical (subtotal/partial) Abdominal Hysterectomy: Removal of uterus
  • Total Hysterectomy – the removal of the uterus and cervix. If the ovaries and fallopian tubes are removed concurrently, the procedure is entitled Total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy.
